Fashioned of old; a fascinating antique compass rosette of Diamonds set between with tiny silver flowers worn as a pendant today, but has had previous lives as a brooch and button which we can see from the old fittings.
From Wikipedia: 'Symbolically, the Compass Rose represents direction, awakening and discovery. The four main “winds” of the rose represent infinite possibility, the present, the past and the future.'
Formed in the Georgian style, we believe it to be of Dutch origin and it is entirely hand crafted even down to the shimmersome olden 'tea-stained' Diamonds which are backed on foil to increase their brightness. It measures an inch across and is suspended from a 23 inch Victorian Silver snake chain complete with swivel clasp. There is some lead repair to the centre reverse which we've not been able to remove but not detrimental or in contact with the skin.
