Finely sewn in Spitak in northern Armenia, these handmade coin purses, phone pouches and pencil cases are adorned with traditional Armenian motifs: one is the iconic pomegranate and the other is a petroglyph of a ram found on rock carvings in Ughtasar that date to the Paleolithic Era. The income from the sale of these handcrafted items supports women in Spitak, who, more than 30 years after Armenia's devastating earthquake, find it hard to a source of income.
