Before the Roman Empire, there was the Roman Republic… where ancient Rome was ruled by the powerful Senate and moneyers were responsible for creating the coins used by the citizens of this rising power.

This silver coin, a Denarius, was minted by moneyer C. Vibius C.f. Pansa in 90 BC in Rome. On the Front (obverse) It pictures the laureate head of Apollo. Apollo was the god of music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and light. On the back (reverse) Minerva (goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare, justice, law, victory, the arts, trade, and strategy) in a quadriga (a chariot pulled by four horses) with a trophy and spear in her hands.

Our ancient coin pendants are a favorite of history fans, students, travel buffs and teachers… and anyone with a love of the past. Our Roman jewelry is designed to be worn by men or women will accommodate both large and small chain and leather necklaces.

It features the mighty and fascinating Apollo on one side, and Minerva with the famed quadriga - a chariot fit for a god or goddess - on the reverse. Both Apollo and Minerva were said to inspire wisdom and insight... especially on the battlefield.
