Vintage 8 sided Octagonal shaped hanging brass planter displaying an exquisite floral mesh / Jaali on each wall and delicately crafted peacock on the chain with worshippers holding foldable oil lamps.
The planter depicting the paws of a lion for each of its legs is held together by 4 thick link brass chains and peacock shaped hook with brass bells or ghungroos enhancing the planters beauty and grace.
As per tradition, such planters were used to light coal or wood known as a Sigri in the mid century, now used as a planter.
Handcrafted by master craftsmen and artisans from the south of India, this is a Collectors item.
